Two Arrested on Outstanding Warrants After Traffic Stop

Two individuals were arrested on Sunday during a traffic stop after both were wanted on outstanding warrants.


According to the Pennsylvania State Police at Frackville, Leslie Anne Tapia, 32, of Ashland and Joaquin Gonzalez, 41, of Reading were involved in the traffic stop that took place at the intersection of Route 924 and Pioneer Road in Shenandoah.

Tapia was wanted on resisting arrest charges from the Schuylkill County District Attorney's office and Gonzalez was wanted by the Reading Police for aggravated assault charges.

Tapia was taken into custody and locked up in Schuylkill County Prison while Gonzalez was turned over to the Berks County Sheriff's office.
