Doctor and Nurse Practitioner Unite to Bring New Family Practice to Ashland

Gregory Dobash, M.D., has joined Kristin O'Donnell, CRNP, to form St. Luke’s Ashland Family Practice, expanding access to St. Luke’s care in a centralized location.

This new practice, for people of all ages, is located at 530 Centre Street in Ashland.

“St. Luke’s Ashland Family Practice will offer increased access to care for more people in this area by moving the two providers to a larger space and expanding office hours,” says Valerie Klass, St. Luke’s Physician Group Regional Director, Primary Care-North.

Although St. Luke’s Ashland Family Practice is new, Dr. Dobash and O'Donnell have been fixtures in the region’s health care community for years.

Dr. Dobash joined St. Luke’s in 2012, and has provided care at Ringtown Family Practice’s Ringtown and Coaldale locations. Meanwhile, O’Donnell has worked in the area since 1999; most recently, she was certified registered nurse practitioner at and the owner of AngelRay Family Medical in Mahanoy City. Because of the opening of St. Luke’s Ashland Family Practice, both Ringtown Family Practice and AngelRay Family Medical have closed their offices to move to this centralized location.

Dr. Dobash earned his medical degree from Drexel University College of Medicine before serving his residency at Warminster Hospital. Since that time, he has obtained National Committee for Quality Assurance and Patient Centered Medical Home recognition. He is also board certified in addiction medicine.

O'Donnell earned a bachelor of science in nursing from Wilkes University and a master of science in nursing-family nurse practitioner from Widener University. She then returned to Wilkes for her doctorate of nursing practice.

A registered nurse, O'Donnell is also a certified registered nurse practitioner, holds national board certification as a family nurse practitioner, and is certified in basic life support and basic dysrhythmia.
