Police Arrest Man for Theft

Hegins Township Police arrested Jimmy M. Smith, 18, of Valley View for Theft and Receiving Stolen Property.

The victim reported to Police that he believed his foster brother, Smith, stole his Dell laptop out of his bedroom. During an investigation it was revealed that Smith stole the laptop and traded it for marijuana. Charges were filed at Magisterial District Judge Rossi’S office.   

Man Facing with Forgery and Drug Charges

Hegins Township Police filed charges against Tony A. Schannauer, 37, of Valley View for Altered, Forged or Counterfeit Documents and Plates, Possession of a controlled substance, Possession of Drug Paraphernalia, Possession with Intent to Deliver Drug Paraphernalia, Operation of Vehicle Without Certificate of Inspection, Driving While Operating Privilege is Suspended, Registration and Certificate of Title Required, and Fraudulent Use or Removal of Registration Plate.

On 10/30/17, Police were on patrol and observed a fraudulent Pennsylvania registration plate affixed to a vehicle. The driver of the vehicle, SCHANNAUER, was stopped by police and it was determined that his driver’s license was suspended. Police also observed a New Jersey State inspection on the vehicle. During the investigation Police executed a search warrant on the vehicle and located Marijuana and several items of drug paraphernalia. Charges were filed at MDJ ROSSI’S office.
