Family Displaced After Fire in Shenandoah Saturday Afternoon

A family is displaced after a fire in Shenandoah Saturday afternoon.
Just after 2:00pm, Saturday, emergency personnel were called to 110 East Oak Street, Shenandoah for a working structure fire.

When crews arrived they found heavy flames and smoke coming from the second floor of the home.

Crews had the fire under control in just a little more than a half hour and were able to contain most of the fire to the second floor of the home.

The American Red Cross is helping the family of 2 Adults and 2 Children affected by the fire.

Shenandoah Fire Departments and the West End Fire Department from Mahanoy City responded.

A cause was not determined at the time of this posting.
