Man in Custody After Threatening Neighbor with Axe

NEW PHILADELPHIA - is in custody after threatening his neighbor with an axe.

According to the Pennsylvania State Police at Frackville, on Monday, around 3:00pm, troopers responded to a report of an assault on Valley Street in New Philadelphia.

An investigation revealed tat Corey Cromyak, 31, was threatening his neighbor with an axe. Cromyak also damaged the neighbor's property with the axe.

Cromyak was taken into custody on aggravated assault, terroristic threat, disorderly conduct, and other charges, arraigned before Magisterial District Judge James Reiley, and locked up in Schuylkill County prison on $15,000 bail.
