According to the Public Information Officer Anthony Petroski of the Pennsylvania State Police in Hazleton, on June 18th, 2018, at approximately 1:59 AM, PSP Hazleton Patrol members were dispatched to the area of the Freeland Borough Park, in Freeland, Luzerne County, to investigate a report of a Male with a gunshot wound. The Male was transported to Lehigh Valley Hazleton Hospital and then transferred to Geisinger Wyoming Valley. At this time, the Victim, a 17-year-old Juvenile Male, remains in critical condition.
The Troop N Major Case Team was activated and initiated an investigation. Through investigation, the actor was identified as Brandon Gambardella, 18 years old, West Hazleton, and subsequently taken into custody without incident. Gambardella will be charged with multiple counts of Aggravated Assault and will be arraigned before MDJ O’DONNELL at District Court 11-3-03.
