Pottsville Police Release New Photo of Bank Robbery Suspect

On Thursday afternoon, the Pottsville Police Department release a new photo of the suspect they say robbed the M&T Bank on Centre Street on Tuesday.

Police say the suspect discarded the disguise he wore while robbing the back and is seen on other surveillance wearing a blue tee shirt.

According to Pottsville Police Chief Richard Wojiechowsky, "The Pottsville Bureau of Police is actively investigating an incident at the M&T Bank, Centre and E. Norwegian Street, at approximately 11:45am when a thin build white male, approximately 6’ tall, wearing a lime green shirt, dark hat and sunglasses gave a note to a teller demanding money. "

Wojiechowsky said "No weapon was used during the incident nor threatened to be used. After receiving the money the male left the bank in an unknown direction of travel." Anyone with information is asked to call Pottsville Police at (570) 628-3792.
