Three Face Charges After Heroin and Methamphetamine are Found During Traffic Stop

Three are facing drug charges after a traffic stop in East Union Township led to the finding of heroin, methamphetamine, and other drugs.


According to East Union Township Police, around 7:30pm Tuesday evening, police officer Matthew Williams conducted a traffic stop on Route 924 for a traffic violation.  The traffic stop led to the finding of heroin, methamphetamine, subutex, and drug paraphernalia.

As a result, Officer Williams filed charges against Jennifer Payne, 30, of Shamokin for possession of heroin, methamphetamine, and drug paraphernalia, David Klinger, 28, of Mount Carmel for possession of Subutex and drug paraphernalia and Thomas Weikel Jr., 28, of Mount Carmel possession of heroin and drug paraphernalia.
