3 in Custody After Authorities Find Over $70,000 in Drugs While Executing Search and Seizure Warrant

Three from Shenandoah are in Schuylkill County Prison after a search warrant leads to finding over $70,000 worth of drugs.

On August 17, 2018, members of the Schuylkill County District Attorney’s Office, Drug Task Force, Pennsylvania State Police, Office of the Attorney General, Butler Township Police Department, Frackville Borough Police Department and Shenandoah Police Department executed a search and seizure warrant on a residence located within the Borough of Shenandoah.

Items of contraband were subsequently seized from the residence including, but not limited to, the following:
  • In excess of six pounds (6 lbs.) of marihuana with an estimated street value of $43,000.00
  • Approximately seventy-one grams (71 g) of heroin with an estimated street value of $18,000.00
  • Approximately sixty-two grams (62 g) of cocaine with an estimated street value of $6,000.00
  • A quantity of Psilocybic mushrooms
  • 120 THC vape canisters with an estimated street value of $3,600.00
  • 27 suspected Alprazolam pills
  • 3 pistols
  • $7,258.00 of United States Currency
As a result of the aforementioned search, Darnell Williams, 42, Robert Calcano, 26,  Jonathan Calcano, 22, all of from Shenandoah, were charged with violations of the Controlled Substance, Drug, Device and Cosmetic Act.

All three accused have been charged with Possession With the Intent to Deliver (Heroin), Possession With the Intent to Deliver (Cocaine), Possession With the Intent to Deliver (Psilocybic mushrooms), Possession With the Intent to Deliver (Synthetic marihuana), Possession With the Intent to Deliver (Marihuana), Possession With the Intent to Deliver (Alprazolam), Possession of a Controlled Substance (Heroin), Possession of a Controlled Substance (Cocaine), Possession of a Controlled Substance (Psilocybic mushrooms), Possession of a Controlled Substance (Synthetic marihuana), Possession of a Controlled Substance (marihuana), Possession of a Controlled Substance (Alprazolam), Possession of Drug Paraphernalia, 6 Counts of Criminal Conspiracy (Possession With the Intent to Deliver), 6 Counts of Criminal Conspiracy (Possession of a Controlled Substance).

The accused will be arraigned by the on-call Magisterial District Judge, the Honorable Stephen Bayer, Tamaqua and locked up in Schuylkill County Prison unable to post $250,000 straight cash bail.
