Jane L. (Brown) Toth, 66, of Pottsville died Thursday at Lehigh Valley Hospital- Cedar Crest.

Born September 6, 1951, in Pottsville, she was the daughter of the late Lamar R. and Ruth (Lord) Brown.

Jane was a Blue Mountain High School graduate and attended McCann School of Business. She was a member Trinity Lutheran Church, Pottsville.

Prior to retirement she was employed by Giant Foods Stores for 10 years.

In addition to her father she was preceded in death by her husband, Robert M. Toth Sr.; daughter, Michelle L. (Moyer) Johnson; brother, David R. Brown.

In addition to her mother, she was survived by her daughter, Crystal A. Staller, five grandchildren, Taylor Staller, Annika Staller, Destiny Johnson, Mackenzie Johnson, and Dakota Schilling; stepson, Robert M. Toth, Jr; several nieces and nephews.

A Celebration in remembrance of Jane will be held 10:30 am on Thursday at Schlitzer Allen Pugh Funeral Home 515 W. Market St., Pottsville with Pastor Chris Rothharpt, officiating. Family and friends are invited to pay their respects Thursday morning from 9AM until the time of service. Interment will follow at Fort Indiantown Gap National Cemetery, Annville. Francis “Frank” R. Delaney, Sr., 91, of Black Heath, Cass Township, passed away on Friday at Schuylkill Center.

Born in Black Heath, Cass Township, he was a son of the late William and Florence Kessler Delaney. He attended Cass Township schools before joining the Navy during World War Two, serving aboard the USS Macon in the Pacific Theater. He then worked for the former Laychock Coal Company, and eventually took employment with ALCOA and United Metal Receptacle. He retired as a foreman with PennDOT.

He was a member of the former St. Vincent de Paul Church, Minersville and was a current member of St. Michael the Archangel Church, Minersville, where he served as an usher. He was also on the Church Building Committee for the new church erected in 1981. He also served several terms on the Minersville Area School Board during the planning and building of the new Junior-Senior High School

He was a longtime, active member of JFK Division Two of the Ancient Order of Hibernians, Pottsville; and was an avid fan of Notre Dame football. He was also a member of the Saint Clair Old Timers Association and the Pennsylvania Association of Retired State Employees.

Frank was a proud parent and grandfather, avidly supporting his children and grandchildren in their many endeavors. He endeared himself to many by socializing with most anyone he met, and engaging in almost any conversation, whether serious or light-hearted.

Preceding him in in death was his wife of 69 years, the former Teresa Melincavage, in January; a daughter, Kathleen “Kay” Santai, in 2009; five siblings, William Delaney, James Delaney, Cyril Delaney, Marie Laudeman and Catherine Williams.

Frank is survived by two daughters, Diane Morasky (spouse, David), Primrose, and Janet Mitchell (spouse, Michael), Buck Run; a son, Francis Delaney, Jr. (spouse, Michelle), Zerbe. He is also survived by six grandchildren, Amy Santai, Brett Santai (spouse, Christine), Nicholas Mitchell, Kelsey Mitchell, Matthew Delaney and Shawn Delaney; three great-grandchildren, Collin, Aileen and Fitzpatrick; a son-in-law, James Santai, Marlin; nieces and nephews.

Relatives and friends may call at St. Michael the Archangel Church, 541 Sunbury Street, Minersville, on Friday from 8:30 A.M. until 9:00 A.M. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Friday at 9:00 A.M. Interment will be in Indiantown Gap National Cemetery, East Hanover Township. Mary Ellen Ziegler, 75, of Orwigsburg passed away at Seton Manor on August 10, 2018. Born in Ashland, PA on April 23, 1943, she was the daughter of the late Charles and Theresa Karlow.

She was a graduate of Mt. Carmel High School in 1961 and East Stroudsburg College in 1965. She taught at Mt. Carmel, Panther Valley, Blue Mountain, and Pine Grove school districts.

Mary was known for her cooking and baking. The warning at the Ziegler table was "if you sit at the table, your fair game." She was a very special, selfless person known for her love of giving to others. She was an avid Phillies fan.

Surviving in addition to her husband of 51 years, Don A. Ziegler, are one son, Doug Ziegler, La Mesa, CA; daughter, Terri Ziegler, Gainesville, VA; daughter, Donna Ziegler Walton, and her husband, Joe, Advance, NC; 3 grandchildren, Taylor Walton, Ryan Walton, Izzabella Ziegler; sister, Joan Bannigan, Dove Canyon, CA; brother, Charles Karlow, Mooresville, NC; nieces and nephews.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10:30, Tuesday, August 14, 2018 at St. Ambrose Church, 201 Randel St, Schuylkill Haven, with Father Reiley as celebrant. Relatives and friends are invited to a visitation at St.Ambrose Church from 9-10:15 prior to the mass.

Burial will be held following 2PM at Indiantown Gap National Cemetery, Indiantown Gap Rd, Annville, PA.

Judith A. Zimmerman, 74, of Williamstown, passed away Friday at the Hershey Medical Center.

Born in Lykens, March 3, 1944, a daughter of the late Ceylon and Miriam Pinkerton Minnich.

Judy was a retired seamstress from the former Bestock Garment Factory.

She was of the protestant faith. Judy enjoyed camping, boating and spending time with her family and friends.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a grandson, Jonathan Bush; two brothers, David and Jack Minnich.

Surviving are her husband of 54 years Melvin C. Zimmerman, Jr.; a daughter, April Bush (Kevin), Tower City; two sons, Tod Zimmerman (Lisa), Pillow and Corey Zimmerman (Sherry), Williamstown; two sisters, Dawn Russelavage, Tower City and Lynn Aukstakalnis, Williamstown; a brother Mike Minnich, Millersburg. 8 grandchildren. 3 great grandchildren Nieces and nephews.

A Celebration of Judy's life will be held Tuesday, August 14th at 11 am from the Chapel of the Dimon Funeral Home, Inc., Tower City with Rev. Maureen Duffy-Guy.
