Vehicle Stolen by Shawn Christy Found in Schuylkill County

On Tuesday, a vehicle that was reportedly stolen by Shawn Christy was found in Schuylkill County.

Shawn Christy, of McAdoo has been wanted by the FBI, United Stated States Secret Service and the United State Marshal service since he allegedly made threats to harm/kill a police chief, other law enforcement officials, a district attorney, and President Donald Trump.

The threats were reportedly made through Facebook between June 3rd, 2018 and June 12, 2018.

Officials have been seeking Christy since an arrest warrant was issued on June 19, 2018.

He has been spotted in West Virginia, Kentucky, and Maryland over the course of 2 months.

Most recently, Christy was reported to have stolen a red pickup in Maryland bearing the license plate ZGL2845.

Around 12:00pm, Tuesday, Federal, State Police, and other state official vehicle were spotted in the area of Hometown, with a larger presence near the Hometown Wal-Mart.

Officials close to investigation have told us that the red pickup that Christy was reported have stolen was found in Hometown Wal-Mart parking.

At a press conference, Tuesday afternoon, Pennsylvania State Trooper Anthony Petroski and U.S. Marshals Deputy Clark held a press conference.

While not giving an exact location, Deputy Clark reported that the vehicle that was believed to have been stolen by Christy was found in a Commercial Plaza in Rush Township and reported to police around 7:30am.

Pennsylvania State Police stressed that citizens should keep their homes and vehicles locked, do not leave keys inside vehicles, and to report any suspicious activity or crimes immediately. Report things like vehicle stolen, items on your porch, foot taken, anything out of the ordinary.

"Residents should remain vigilante, there is a wanted fugitive in the area." said Petroski

From the U.S. Marshals Service to Shawn Christy. "Simply, turn yourself in".

As of August 20, 2018, the reward for Christy's capture was up to $20,000.  The FBI says Christy is considered armed and dangerous.
