Beatrice F. Malloy, 97, former Shenandoah and Girardville resident passed away peacefully Friday evening at Ridgeview Healthcare and Rehabilitation Center, Shenandoah Heights.

Born in Connerton, she was a daughter of the late Michael and Mary Schmidt Corrigan. She had been employed by Butler Township High School, having worked in the school office and cafeteria. She was also a waitress at Tony’s Lunch, Girardville and the former Woolworths in Shenandoah.

She was a graduate of Girardville High School, where she was the star of the girs basketball team. After high school, she worked in the defense plants in Philadelphia during World War II.

She was a member of the former St. Joseph’s Catholic Church, Girardville, now St. Charles Borromeo Parish and a member of both the Girardville and Shenandoah Senior Citizens.

She was preceded in death by her husband James Malloy in 1975 also by her son James L. Malloy

Beatrice is survived by her son Danny and his wife Debbie Malloy, Gilberton, her sister Peggy wife of Clyde Fetterolf, Fountain Springs, her daughter-in law Peggy Malloy, Allentown and her grandchildren; Kaitlynn, Allie, Danny and Jarrid, her great-granddaughter Fiona also by several nieces and nephews.

Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Thursday morning at 9:30 a.m. in St. Vincent de Paul Catholic Church, Girardville, with Rev. Paul Rothermel, pastor, as the celebrant. Interment will be in Annunciation Cemetery, Shenandoah Heights. Friends may call at the church on Thursday morning from 8:30 a.m. until time of mass.

Nancy Ruggeri of Coaldale, PA died on Tuesday, October 23, 2018 in Coaldale. 

She was the wife of the late Joseph F. Ruggeri to whom she was married 63 years when he died in 2010. Nancy was a daughter of the late Ignatius and Ethel (nee Warholic) Bincarousky. 

Having attended West Penn schools, she worked for the Atlas Powder Company in Reynolds during WWII and was later employed by the former Morgans Knitting Mill in Hometown. Nancy was a member of St. Mary Russian Orthodox Church, Coaldale and a former member of the CWEA. 

She is survived by daughter, Barbara Henry and her husband William of Lake Hauto, PA; son, Joseph M. Ruggeri and his wife Janice of Hometown, PA; grandchildren, Elizabeth Seltzer of Tamaqua, Mark Henry and his wife Judy of New Tripoli, PA, Joseph Ruggeri and his wife Cara of Limeport, PA, Michael Ruggeri and his wife Rachael of Mountain Top, PA, and Robert Ruggeri and his wife Tara of Emmaus, PA; 11 great grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews. 

Last of her immediate family, Nancy was predeceased by her brothers, John, Alfred, Carl, William, Michael; sisters, Mary, Priscilla, Rose, Irene; and infant sister, Anna. 

Services will be held at 11 AM on Tuesday, October 30 at the Zizelmann-Gulla Funeral Home, 500 East Broad Street, Tamaqua with The Very Rev. James P. Weremedic officiating. Interment in St. Jerome Cemetery, Lombard Street, Tamaqua will follow services. Call 10-11 AM on Tuesday at the funeral home.

Loretta Mary Matto, 74, of Port Carbon, passed away Wednesday, October 24th, at ManorCare, Pottsville.

Born in Port Carbon on May 18, 1944, she was a daughter of the late John & Mary (Michaels) Matto.

She was a graduate of Nativity BVM High School, Class of 1962.

Loretta was a member of St. Clare of Assisi Church, St. Clair.

She had been employed by various local department and grocery stores.

Loretta is survived by two brothers: John Matto, & Joseph Matto, both of Port Carbon.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at Immaculate Conception Church, St. Clair, at 10:30 a.m. on Monday, October 29th, with Mon. William Glosser officiating.

A viewing will be held Monday from 9:30 - 10:30 a.m. at Immaculate Conception Church, St. Clair.

Interment will immediately follow mass at Immaculate Conception Cemetery.

Patsy S. Wolfe, 82, of Spittler Rd., Pine Grove, passed away on Monday, October 22, 2018 at home.
Born on March 16, 1936 in Pine Grove, she was a daughter of the late Theodore and Minnie Moyer Mutschler.
She was a member of St. Matthew's Lutheran Church, Ravine.
Preceding her in death were her husband Daniel A. Wolfe, son Dennis D. Wolfe, grandson Ryan Collins, brother, Frank Mutschler, and two sisters, Ruth Zerbe and Betty Frantz.
Surviving are two sons, Gary and wife Karen Wolfe of Pine Grove, Terry and wife Jodi Wolfe of Annville, daughter, Lola and husband Robert Collins of Pine Grove; 4 sisters, Grace Spittler and Dorothy Hayes, both of Pine Grove, Marna Gilbert of Cressona, Jane Bressler of Schuylkill Haven; brother Joseph Mutschler of Montoursville; 7 grandchildren, 3 step grandchildren, 9 great grandchildren, 3 step great grandchildren, nieces and nephews.
All Services will be held at the convenience of the family with SALM John Ziegler officiating. 

Interment will be in St. Matthew's Lutheran Cemetery, Ravine.
