Man Facing Drug Charges After Drug Overdose in Kline Township

A man is facing drug charges after a drug overdose on Thanksgiving Day.


According to the Pennsylvania State Plice at Frackville, troopers responded to 8 Fourth Street, in the Village of Kelayres, in Kline Township, in regards to a death investigation on Thursday, November 22nd, 2018 around 6:00pm.

Police say an unidentified 42 year old expired of an apparent overdose.

Police obtained and executed a search warrant on the residence.  During the search, police found 10 bundles of suspected heroin (106 bags total), a small amount of methamphetamine, and drug paraphernalia.

As a result of the investigation, Salvadore Craig, 44, was taken into custody and charged with possession with intent to deliver a controlled substance, possession of a controlled substance, and possession of drug paraphernalia.

Craig was arraigned by on-call Magisterial District Judge David Rossi and locked up in Schuylkill County Prison on $20,000 straight cash bail.

The investigation into the death is ongoin.
