Two Dauphin County Men Charged with Robbery of Motor Vehicle in Tower City

Two men have been charged with robbing a vehicle from a woman in Tower City on Thursday.

According to the Pennsylvania State Police at Schuylkill Haven, on Thursday, January 24th, 2019 around 10:30am, two men approached the 23 year old woman from Tower City, while she was parked at the Top Star Gas Station, located at 523 E. Grande Ave in Tower City.

Police say William Wright, 18, of Williamstown walked up and opened the passengers side door and asked the victim for a ride.

Wright was holding a hand gun with his left hand attempting to hide it behind his leg but the victim saw it.

The victim told the actors to take the vehicle and she got out.

Dawson Loy, 18, of Wiconsico  proceeded to the driver’s seat of the vehicle and drove away at a high rate of speed.

Loy was later involved in a crash at Route 209 and Water Street in Dauphin County and both actors fled on foot.

Loy was apprehended a short distance from the scene of the crash and Wright has not yet been located.

Loy was arraigned on charges of Robbery of a motor vehicle and related offenses.

He was committed to the Schuylkill County Prison unable to post $150,000.00 bail.

Wright turned himself on Friday morning and was arraigned.

He was also committed to the Schuylkill County Prison unable to post $150,000.00 bail
