Mahanoy City Man Facing Charges After Threats with a Butcher Knife

A Mahanoy City man is facing charges after making threats with a knife during an argument.

According to Mahanoy City Police, during in incident at a home in the 400 Block of West Spruce Street on Wednesday afternoon, Michael Delong, 20, threatened another man with a 12-Inch Butcher knife during an argument over a stolen cell phone.

Delong was taken into custody by Mahanoy City Police Officer Thomas Rentschler and charged
with aggravated assault, terroristic threats, theft by unlawful taking & receiving stolen property.

He was arraigned by Magisterial District Judge David J. Rossi, and locked up in Schuylkill County Prison on $20,000 straight cash bail.
