Police Take Man into Custody on Warrants from Luzerne and Schuylkill Counties


An Pottsville man was taken into custody Thursday morning in Ashland on active warrants from Schuylkill and Luzerne Counties.

According to Ashland Police Chief Gerard Daley, Ashland Police with assistance from the Butler Township Police and Frackville Police took Jason Greaves, 43, of Pottsville into custody on Thursday in the 1400 Block of Spruce Street.

Greaves was wanted by Schuylkill County Detectives and the Luzerne County Sheriff's Office and was also wanted after he falsely identified himself to Ashland Police on February 19, 2019.

Greaves was taken into custody and was found with multiple items of drug paraphernalia including syringes, glassine baggies and a scale.

Custody of Greaves was transferred over to Schuylkill County Detectives who locked him up in Schuylkill County Prison.

Greaves is also facing the additional charges for false identification to law enforcement and possession of drug paraphernalia.
