Mae A Mattern, age 91, of Valley View, passed away Wednesday, February 27, 2019 at Premier at Susquehanna Village, Millersburg.

She was born on Thursday, May 5, 1927, in Dornsife, a daughter of the late Gurney Martz and the late Vera Klinger Martz.

She was a graduate of the former Berrysburg High School and attended Thompson School of Business, Harrisburg.

She was a member of Tri-Valley Bible Church, Valley View.

Mae enjoyed sewing, motorcycle riding, search and find puzzles, and spending time with her family.

She was preceded in death by her parents; by a son, Dennis L Mattern; and by two brothers, Harlan Martz and Carl Martz.

She is survived by her husband William H Mattern, to whom she was married for 69 years.

She is also survived by a daughter, Linda C Klinger and her husband Dale of Valley View; three grandchildren; eleven great grandchildren; a sister, Blanche Harner of Sacramento; and several nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be held at the Buffington-Reed Funeral Home, Valley View, on Tuesday, March 5, 2019, at 11:00 am, with Rev. Dennis O'Brien officiating.

A viewing will be held from 10:00 am to 11:00 am on Tuesday at the funeral home.

Burial will be made in St. Andrew's United Methodist Cemetery, Sacramento.

William H Wagner, age 86, of Hegins, passed away Wednesday, February 27, 2019 at his residence.

He was born on Wednesday, July 13, 1932, in Valley View, a son of the late Daniel T Wagner and the late Mary E Hepler Wagner.

He was a 1950 graduate of the former Hegins Twp High School.

Bill served in the US Army during the Korean War.

He was a mason for the former Russell Dietrich Construction, Valley View, prior to his retirement.

He was a member of St. Andrew's United Methodist Church, Valley View.

He was also a member of F&AM Valley Lodge #797 and American Legion Post 575, both of Valley View, and the PA Trappers Association.

Bill was very proud of being a veteran and serving his country. He enjoyed the outdoors and spending time with his family and friends.

He is survived by his wife Dora Mae Schwalm Wagner, to whom he was married for 61 years.

He is also survived by three sons, Daniel W Wagner and his wife Linda of Hegins, David C Wagner and his wife Peggy of North Manchester, IN, and Dale M Wagner and his wife Kelly of Halifax; eight grandchildren; ten great grandchildren; a sister, Phyllis L Artz of Valley View; a brother, James E Wagner of North Bend; and several nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be held at St. Andrew's United Methodist Church, Valley View, on Monday, March 4, 2019, at 11:00 am, with Rev. Duane Bardo officiating.

A viewing will be held from 10:00 am to 11:00 am on Monday at the church.

Burial with Military Honors will be made in St. Andrew's Cemetery.

Joseph E. Klick, 80, of Schuylkill Haven, passed away Wednesday, Feb. 27, 2019, at The Gardens at York Terrace, Pottsville.

Services and interment will be privately held.

Nina (Ney) Kreisl, 52, of Shenandoah, passed away Thursday, February 28th, 2019 while a guest at the Shenandoah Manor Nursing Center.
Nina was born in Shenandoah, on January 27, 1967, a daughter of Geraldine (Bejacko) Ney, of Shenandoah, and the late Albert Ney.
Nina attended the Shenandoah Valley high school, and was last employed as a cashier at Boyers Food Market in Shenandoah.
In addition to her mother Geraldine she is surviived by a son, Zachary Ney.
She is also survived by her siblings, her two sisters, Geraldine (Gerry), wife of John Campanicki, of RIngtown and Sherry Szemplenski, of Attica, NY; and by her brother Albert Ney and his wife Brenda, of Shenandoah.
Two nephews, Jeremiah Ney and Anthony Ney also survive.
Relatives and friends are invited to pay their respects and visit with Nina's family from 9-11 AM on Saturday, March 9th, 2019 at the Stauffer-Breznik Funeral Home, 412 West Main Street, Ringtown.
Private burial will take place at St. Michael's Cemetery in Shenandoah Heights.
Nina's family graciously accepts condolences and expressions of sympathy, however they will provide the flowers for the service.
