Multiple Business Windows Damaged Overnight Across Schuylkill and Northumberland Counties

According to multiple police departments, vandals struck and damaged the windows of businesses stretching from Pottsville to Kulpmont.


Police from Kulpmont, Ashland, and Frackville are investigating at least 14 businesses that had windows damaged overnight Wednesday into Thursday.

According to Kulpmont Police Chief Nathan Foust, five businesses were struck with white glass marbles causing damage.

According to Ashland Police Chief Gerard Daley, eight business were struck having the windows damaged.  The damage appeared as if it was done by a pellet or BB gun.

According to Frackville Police Chief Rick Bell, one business had two windows damaged.

According to Pottsville Police Chief Richard Wojiechowsky, at least 15 businesses were damaged.  Wojiechowsky said that they are attempting to identify a dark colored 4-door SUV that was seen on video surveillance as being in the areas that were damaged between 3:00am and 3:30am Thursday morning.

The four departments are working together to investigate the incidents.
