Marylou E. Scheuren, 83, of Pottsville, passed away peacefully on Wednesday afternoon with her family by her side in Schuylkill Center, Pottsville.

Born in Pottsville, on May 23, 1935, she was a daughter of the late Louis and Nina (Boyle) Elliott.

She was a graduate of John Hallahan Catholic High School, Philadelphia.

Marylou was a member of St. Patrick R.C. C., Pottsville, where she also belonged to CYO Auxiliary.

She was an active member of the community where she belonged to the Pottsville Club Auxiliary, the Green and Gold Club at Nativity BVM High School and volunteered and was on the Auxiliary at Good Samaritan Hospital.

In her earlier years, she was a medical technician at Thomas Jefferson Hospital, Philadelphia. After marrying James, she concentrated on raising their children and in later years she especially enjoyed spending time with her children and grandchildren.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a brother, Louis Elliott.

She is survived by her husband, James L. Scheuren, to whom she was married 60 years ; a daughter, Jane E. Scheuren, of Minersville; two sons James L. Scheuren, Jr., of Pottsville; Jeffrey L., husband of Barbara Scheuren, of Whitehall; grandchildren: James J. and Casey E. Scheuren; several nieces and nephews.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Monday, April 1st at 11:00 a.m. at St. Patrick Roman Catholic Church Chapel, Pottsville, with Msgr. Edward J. O'Connor officiating. A viewing will be held on Sunday evening from 6:00 p.m. - 7:30 p.m. at Lord-Bixler Funeral Home, Inc., 1818 Mahantongo St., Pottsville and on Monday morning from 10:00 a.m. until the procession will leave for church.

Interment will follow in Our Lady of Calvary Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers the family request contributions in Marylou's memory be sent to: St. Patrick's Memorial Fund 319 Mahantongo St. Pottsville, PA 17901.

Michael J. Keip, Sr., 88 years of age of Railroad Street, Tamaqua, Pennsylvania passed away on Wednesday, March 27, 2019 at St. Luke's Miners Memorial Medical Ctr. Coaldale.

Survived by; his wife, Dione L. (Boyer) Keip; sons, Robert W. Keip and his wife Kelly of Saint Clair, Michael J. Keip and his wife, Joy of Summit Hill; daughter, Tammy Morgante and her husband, John of Pine Grove; brothers, David Keip and his wife, Tina of Tamaqua, Frank Keip of Minersville, Bartholomew Keip of Lancaster; sisters, Theresa Geison of New Jersey, Margaret Christ of Pottsville, Anna Wetzel of Pottsville, Cecelia Rusnak of Summit Hill 10 grand children; 9 great grand children

Born Friday, August 29, 1930 in Brockton, Pennsylvania, he was the son of the late John Keip and the late Mary (Sockel) Keip. He was also predeceased by; brothers, John, Joseph, Jerome and Paul Keip, sister, Veronica and Victoria Bell, Bertha Suder, Dorothy Deitrick, Isabelle Zelnick, Marie Benyacker and Martha Kotula.

A graduate of St. Jerome High School, Michael served his country honorably as a United State Marine for fifteen years. Michael retired from Chloric of Topton. He was an avid outdoors man who enjoyed hunting and would spend his days walking the streets of Tamaqua.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated from St. John XXIII R.C.C. of 301 Pine Street Tamaqua Pennsylvania on Tuesday, April 2, 2019 at 11 o'clock A.M. Friends may call at the funeral home on the morning of services from 9:00 A.M. until 10:30 A.M.

Interment with Military Honors Ft. Indiantown Gap National Cemetery Annville, Pennsylvania.
