State Police are Looking for Suspects Who Fled After Car Chase near Frackville

Pennsylvania State Police near Frackville are looking for two suspects that fled after a car chase Wednesday morning.


According to the Pennsylvania State Police at Frackville, on Wednesday morning, around 6:40am, State Police at Frackville attempted to make a traffic stop on a vehicle near Mile marker 130 on the Southbound lanes of Interstate 81 in Mahanoy Township.

Police were attempted to pull the vehicle over for a vehicle code violation.

The driver of the Green 1998 Ford Explorer failed to stop and a pursuit ensued.  A second unidentified person was also seen in the vehicle.

The vehicle exited Interstate 81 at the Frackville exit and continued through the borough.

The vehicle was later found in a wooded area in the borough.

Police were not able to identify the suspects.

Frackville Police assisted.

Police are still investigating the incident and are asking anyone who may have witnessed the incident this morning, to call the Frackville barracks at (570) 874-5300.
