Big Diamond Speedway season opener take three! Different Friday, same result. Persistent April rainy weather has once again forced Big Diamond to reschedule their 2019 season opener to this Friday April 26th.

The April 19th season opener will run under the same format as previously scheduled as part of Schaeffer’s Motorsport night. The Insinger Performance modifeds will be running a $4000 to win 30-lap main event. The USS Achey sportsman will also run for some extra cash with a 20-lap $1000 to win main event. Filling out the night will be the Eash’s Towing and Salvage Street Stocks and the Savage 61 Road Runners. As an added bonus for the street stocks, Don Murphy will be sponsoring the hard charger award each and every week the division competes.

Gates will open at 5:00pm on Friday night with warmups starting at 7:15pm. Racing will start at 7:45pm.

General admission for this Friday is $20. Kids 10 & under and active military with valid ID are admitted free of charge.

The much anticipated “Money in the Mountains” race sponsored by Fire Management Control of Pennsylvania will now be scheduled to take place on Friday night May 3rd.
