Friday's Practice at Big Diamond Moved to Sunday

Due to the projected forecast, Friday's practice has Big Diamond has been moved to Sunday.

Racers from all divisions took part in a very successful practice session last Sunday at the Big Diamond Speedway. It was a chance for teams and drivers to get some much-needed track time on the new clay surface that was put down over the winter. From all reports the track held up well and drivers were very pleased with the new Clay.

Returning to race Friday’s at Big Diamond on a regular basis this season, Insinger Performance Modified driver Brett Kressley had this to say about the new surface. “I liked it a lot. It was strange not having a cushion to lean on, but I think it has a lot of potential to be awesome. I was really impressed with it.”

Approximately a half dozen drivers from each of the tracks four weekly divisions took advantage of the open practice to dial their cars in for the season opener coming up on Friday April 12th.

Day/Date Change for this week’s practice

Due to the heavy rain that is forecasted for this Friday, the second scheduled practice has been moved to Sunday April 7th. The format will be the same as last Sunday’s practice with gates opening at 11:00am. The practice is open to any type of car with a roll cage. Track time for practice will be 1:00pm to 3:00pm Following the practice there will be an Enduro dash 50 along with the vintage cars.
