With a vote of 5 to 3, the Commission voted to moved the start date from the Monday after Thanksgiving to the first Saturday after Thanksgiving.
The first day has been Monday after the holiday since 1963.
The change will immediately take effect for the 2019 season and will start November 30, 2019.
