A man and child were rescued by emergency personnel in Ashland Friday afternoon.

According to Ashland Police Chief Gerard Daley, around 3:45pm, Officer Dan Weikel wasd dispatched to 1931 Walnut Street for a report of a naked child on the roof of a residence.

When Officer Weikel arrived, he found a 5 year old child on the rear 3rd story roof of the home.

After Officer Weikel made contact with the father, the father went out onto the roof to retrieve the child.
