State Police Corporal Charged with DUI

A State Police Corporal has been charged with DUI.

According to a statement from the Pennsylvania State Police, Pennsylvania State Police Corporal Eric T. Porpiglia was charged on April 30, 2019 with crimes relating to driving under the influence.

The charges were filed by state police investigators from Troop N, Hazleton.

Corporal Porpiglia enlisted in the Pennsylvania State Police in November 2007 and was assigned to Troop N, Hazleton. He is suspended without pay pending resolution of the criminal charges against him and an internal investigation.

The state police will not offer any additional comment.
