Food Truck Fridays to be Held Throughout the Summer in Downtown Pottsville

Food Truck Fridays are part of the Downtown Pottsville"Summer of Pottsville" celebration. Every first Friday night from May through September, food trucks will be scattered throughout the central business district in the City of Pottsville.

Food Truck Fridays will be held at 5pm on the following dates:
● June 7th
● August 2nd
● September 6th

The first Food Truck Friday was held on May 3rd, in collaboration with the Block
of Art celebration on Centre Street between Arch Street and Laurel Boulevard, with an
additional vendor setting up at Yuengling Brewery.

All four of vendors sold out by 7pm, and the feedback from Block Art attendees was overwhelmingly positive.

On June 7th, food truck vendors will be located on Centre Street between Market and Norwegian.

Food Truck Vendors include: Kowalonek’s Kielbasy Shop, Brasil on Wheels, and Caribbean Cuisine.

Afterwards, attendees are encouraged to check out one of the live music performances hosted at Pressed Coffee and Books, Wheel Restaurant, Griffon Haus, and Hucklebucks.

Food Truck Fridays is part of the Pottsville Continued Progress Project, a PADCO initiative. “We started this event as a way to bring people downtown on a consistent basis,” says event manager and logistics coordinator, Joseph Drasdis III. “We have great food truck vendors that we’ve built a relationship with through other successful events like Pottsville on Tap and Winterfest, and it’s exciting to be able to have them here all summer long!”

PADCO is the city’s economic development agency and works to instill vibrancy to the downtown business community and improve the quality of life for its residents. The full Downtown Pottsville Revitalization Strategy is available on PADCO’s website under Continued Pottsville Progress (
