Motorcycle Rider Found 24 Hours After Crash Occurred in Butler Township

A motorcycle rider who crashed on Sunday was discovered Monday afternoon.

Just before 5:00pm, Monday, emergency personnel were dispatched to 306 Malone's Road, Butler Township, for a motorcycle accident.

According to Butler Township Police, someone living nearby found the motorcycle and the male driver laying in the Little Mahanoy Creek in the area of the bridge.

The driver was found with his helmet on and was conscious and was able to tell emergency personnel the crash happened on Sunday.

Responding to the scene of the crash were Butler Township Police, Friendship Fire, Washington Rescue, and Washington Ambulance.

A helicopter was called to transport, but was cancelled due to weather conditions.

The identity of the victim or the extent of his injuries were not knownat the time of this posting.

A&F Towing also assisted at the scene and Fountain Springs Fire and Lavelle Fire responded to the landing zone.

Update:  The driver has been identified as Dalton Gross, 25, of the Harrisburg area.
