A police log of arrests was provided by Shenandoah Police from the month of March.


Man Charged with Harassment


On March 20, 2019 around 2:10pm, a woman reported that she was speaking with a family member in front of M&T Bank at 2 S Main St when the discussion escalated. Joseph Burke, 63, of  Shenandoah, stepped toward her and pushed her. Burke then left the area on foot. 

Burke was charged with harassment.

Man Cited for Public Drunkeness


On March 21, 2019 at 2:00am, an Officer on patrol found a male lying in the unit block of South Market street, sleeping. 

After waking the male, police discovered him to be highly intoxicated and under the influence of alcohol. 

The male was identified as Onix Reyes, 23, of Shenandoah. 

A citation charging Reyes with public drunkenness was filed with District Judge Anthony Kilker.

Woman Charged with Criminal Trespass

On March 21, 2019 around 2:48pm, Police were dispatched to 210 E Lloyd St for a trespassing incident. 

Brenda Bloss, 45, no such address, had been at the property earlier in the day and had been told to leave. 

At 2:48pm, Brenda Bloss returned to the residence knocking on the front door. 

When the occupants opened the front the door, Bloss pushed her way into the home and refused to leave. 

Bloss was arraigned by Magisterial District Judge Anthony Kilker on charges of felony Criminal Trespass and summary Harassment. She was committed to Schuylkill County Prison on $5,000.00 cash bail.

Man Charged After Threatening to Kill Mother


On March 21, 2019 around 7:00pm, Police were dispatched to 209 West Mount Vernon St for a disturbance. 

Michael Kilkenny, 42, was upset that his mother had disciplined his son and began to argue her. 

The argument became physical when Kilkenny grabbed his mother by her throat and threatened to kill her. 

Kilkenny was charged with Aggravated Assault, Strangulation, Terroristic threats and related offenses and arraigned by Magisterial District Judge Anthony Kilker. 

Kilkenny was committed to Schuylkill County Prison on $25,000.00 cash bail.

Man Charged with Harassment

On March 22, 2019 at 2:23pm, Police were dispatched to 117 E Centre St for a domestic disturbance. 

Mathew Mabus, 27, of Shenandoah had been arguing with his girlfriend when he grabbed and pushed her. He then broke her cell phone by throwing it on the floor. 

Mabus was charged with harassment.

Man Charged with Trespass, Stalking, and Resisting Arrest

On March 30, 2019, Police were dispatched to 127 N Jardin St at 11:15pm for a disturbance. 

Daniel Lance Lopez, 23, no known address, had come to the residence, uninvited, to see his former girlfriend. 

Police escorted Lopez off of the property and was told not to return. 

Police were then called back to the property at 11:35pm when Lopez returned to the residence and began kicking and punching the door. 

Lopez was taken into custody and charged with felony Criminal Trespass, Stalking. Resisting Arrest, Loitering and Prowling and related summary offenses. 

He was arraigned by Magisterial District Judge David Rossi and committed to Schuylkill County Prison on $25,000.00 cash bail.
