Ann Louise Bowman, age 69, of Pottsville, PA passed away unexpectedly on Tuesday, July 16th, 2019 at the Hershey Medical Center. Born in Pottsville, PA on October 19, 1949, she was the daughter of the late Robert Hilbert and Emily Louise (Buehler) Sidler. Ann was a graduate of Nativity B.V.M. High School in Pottsville, Class of 1967. She was the vice president and co-owner of B&K Fasteners in Pottsville and also worked as a lunch aide for the Pottsville Area School District. Ann was a member of the St. Clare of Assisi Roman Catholic Church in St. Clair and was a devoted Mother and Grandmother, who's life revolved around family. Ann is survived by her husband of 49 years, James Richard Bowman, Pottsville; two sons: James Bowman and his wife Jody, Pottsville and Jeffrey Bowman and his wife Melissa, Colorado; a daughter Amy Heinbach and her husband David, Pottsville; eight grandchildren: Emily, Sadie, Camryn, Marlo, Lily, Brody, Jacob, and Joshua; two sisters: Cheryl Turner and her husband John and Deborah McGoey and her husband John, both of Pottsville; and four nephews: John, P.J., Corey, and Johnny. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at St. Clare of Assisi Roman Catholic Church in St. Clair at 10:30AM on Saturday, July 20th, with Msgr. William Glosser officiating. Relatives and Friends are invited to visit with the family Saturday morning from 9-10:30AM at St. Clare of Assisi Roman Catholic Church. Interment will be held in the Our Lady of Calvary Cemetery in Pottsville. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to St. Clare of Assisi Church Memorial Fund 250 E. Florence "Mae" Peiffer, 90, of Summit Station, passed away Thursday, July 18th, at Seton Manor, Orwigsburg.

Born in Philadelphia on May 9, 1929, she was a daughter of the late Harry & Ruth (Thomson) Edwards.

She was the widow of Russell L. Peiffer, who passed away on December 24, 2016.

In addition to her parents and husband, Mae is also preceded in death by her grandson, DJ Peiffer on March 3, 2007, her son, Brian Peiffer in March 3, 2015, and her brothers: Harry, & Paul Edwards.

Shewas a graduate of Cressona High School, Class of 1948.

Mae was a member of St. Paul's United Church of Christ of Summer Hill, Auburn.She also belonged the Cressona Rainbow Women's Auxiliary.

Mae owned and operated Peiffer's Blue Mountain Auto Treat with her husband from 1954 to 1971.She worked at Argo Textile Factory until her retirement.

Florence is survived by two daughters: Ruthann Freeman & husband, Kenneth, TX, and Janet Rodnick & husband, Nicholas, Summit Station, two sons: Richard Peiffer & wife, Annette, Elkton, MD, and David Peiffer, widower of Janet, Summit Station.

She is also survived by 14 grandchildren, 22 great-grandchildren, and four siblings: Robert, John "Jack", and George Edwards, and Sara "Ella" Krause.

A viewing will be held Monday evening from 6 to 8 p.m. at Geschwindt-Stabingas Funeral Home, Inc., Schuylkill Haven.

A Celebration of Life Funeral Service will be conducted at Geschwindt-Stabingas Funeral Home, Inc., Schuylkill Haven, on Tuesday at 10:30 a.m. with Pastor Kenneth McDowell officiating.

An additional viewing hour will be held from 9:30 a.m. until the time of service on Tuesday at the funeral home.

Interment will follow the funeral service at Summer Hill Cemetery, Auburn.

Elroy H. Houser, 82, passed away on Wednesday evening at Shenandoah Senior Living Community.

Born in Ashland, he was a son of the late Joseph and Anna Cresina Houser. Elroy was last employed as a utility worker for J.W. Rex of Lansdale until his retirement.

Elroy was a Seabees having served in the United States Navy from 1955 to 1959. He was an avid hunter and fisherman having belonged to the Limerick Bowman and Archery Club.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his sister Dolores Houser and his two brothers Robert and William Houser.

Elroy is survived by his sister Anna Mae Bernhard, Englewood, Frackville and by several nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be held at 10 a.m. on Saturday, July 20th from the Thomas M. Sullivan Funeral Home, Frackville with Rev. Jeff Merwine officiating. Friends may call at the funeral home on Saturday morning from 9 a.m. until the time of service. Interment will follow at Greenwood Cemetery, Frackville.
