HEAT ALERT: Excessive Heat Warning Issued for Schuylkill County

The National Weather Service has issued an Excessive Heat Warning for Schuylkill County for Friday and Saturday.
EXCESSIVE HEAT WARNING IN EFFECT FROM NOON FRIDAY TO 8 PM EDT SATURDAY...
...HEAT ADVISORY IN EFFECT FROM 8 PM SATURDAY TO 8 PM EDT SUNDAY...

The National Weather Service in State College has issued an Excessive Heat Warning, which is in effect from noon Friday to 8 PM EDT Saturday. A Heat Advisory has also been issued. This Heat Advisory is in effect from 8 PM Saturday to 8 PM EDT Sunday. The Excessive Heat Watch is no longer in effect.

* HEAT INDEX VALUES...Up to 110 on Friday and Saturday, and up to 104 on Sunday.

* TIMING...The highest values will be in the afternoons, but overnight low temperatures will also be very warm and the air oppressively muggy. Saturday will be the hottest day.

* IMPACTS...The heat and humidity may cause heat stress during outdoor exertion or extended exposure.
