Food, Music, and Diversity Celebrated During Shenandoah Heritage Day

This past Saturday, the 21st Annual Shenandoah Heritage Day took place.

The event, which was organized by Downtown Shenandoah Inc., began at 10:00am with the annual Parade of Nations.

Members of the community joined their friends and neighbors as they walked and dressed for the parade to honor their ethnicity.

After the parade, vendors lined Main Street offering crafts and foods of all different cultures.

Music for the event included the Shenandoah All-Star Polka Ban and the Mariachi Rey Azteca Band.

Tom Ulicny was honored as the festival's Grand Marshall for 2019.
