Creators of Schuylkill County Brew Fest Announce "Brewsgiving"

The creators of the annual Schuylkill County Brew Fest announced a brand-new festival for beer lovers coming in November 2019.

The new festival called “Brewsgiving” will take place November 9th, 2019 at the Lodge at Sharp Mountain from 2-5:30pm.

“This is something that we have been planning since we started the Schuylkill County Brew Fest back in 2015,” says Dave Cantwell co-creator.

“We knew if we decided to go forward with this festival, that it couldn’t just be your average fest. It has to be something that stands out like our annual spring event does,” says Tyler Budwash co-creator.

Brewsgiving will be a fraction of the size the Schuylkill County Brew Fest. Limiting the event to only 300 tickets provides a more intimate setting with sampling from 20 breweries along with food catered by the Lodge at Sharp Mountain included in your ticket price.

What sets Brewsgiving apart from most festivals is that all participating breweries will be selecting their own “tag team collab partners” and bringing specifically brewed beers just for the festival for attendees to sample and vote on. “ I am excited to do it because it brings together breweries to be creative and collaborate on a competition beer. It will also give people a chance to try a bunch of different amazing collaborations” says Dave Morrow, Brewer at Tattered Flag Brewery.

This is a similar concept for the Schuylkill County Brew Fest, where only a quarter of the breweries do a collab, and they are all brewed in collaboration with Pilger Ruh Brewing. Just like the spring Skook Series Championship (won this year by Tattered Flag Brewery), the winners of Brewsgiving will take home the brand-new Tag Team Collab Championship belt. Brewsgiving will feature some favorite breweries of past festivals as well as newcomers such as Lindgren Craft Brewery (Duncannon PA) “After brewing a collaboration beer with Pilger Ruh Brewing we wanted to participate in a brew fest that embodied the camaraderie of our industry. Schuylkill County Brew Fest has a track record of putting together great events, so Brewsgiving should be a no brainer on the craft beer lovers to do list this November.” Said Michael Lindgren, Co-Owner/Brewer at Lindgren Craft Brewery.

The Lodge will feature two floors of breweries, vendors, food, and six large flat screen TVs for football fans. Both Budwash and Cantwell agreed that after selling out their 5th Annual Schuylkill County Brew Fest in downtown Pottsville, the time was right to launch this new festival. Tickets for the event will go on sale Friday, August 30th and can be bought online only at www.puffspromotions.com.
