Shenandoah Man in Custody After Leading State Troopers in Pursuit

A Shenandoah man is locked up in Schuylkill County Prison after leading police in a pursuit Wednesday.

According to the Pennsylvania State Police at Frackville, just after 11:00am Monday, Christopher Buck, 33, of Shenandoah, fled from a State Trooper at a high rate of speed during a traffic stop in Girardville.

Buck led police through Lost Creek and into William Penn where troopers used a PIT maneuver to end the pursuit but he fled on foot into a wooded area.

Multiple police agencies converged on the area but were unable to locate him.

Police later received information on the whereabouts of Buck and took him into custody in Ashland.

Buck was arraigned before on-call Magisterial District Judge David Plachko and committed to Schuylkill County Prison in lieu of $75,000.

No injuries were sustained during the pursuit.
