Girardville Man Faces Drug Charges After Being Found with Fentanyl and Methamphetamine

A Girardville man is facing charges after being found with fentanyl, methamphetamine and other drugs.

On September 24, 2019, the Schuylkill County Adult Probation Department in conjunction with the Pennsylvania State Police, Frackville Borough Police, Butler Twp. Police and the Schuylkill County Drug Task Force, executed a search warrant at 1 Upper Railroad Street, Girardville.

As a result of the search, in excess of 6 grams of suspected fentanyl, approx. 2 grams of methamphetamine, in excess of 50 grams of marijuana and multiple items of drug paraphernalia were seized. 

On Thursday, charges were filed by the Frackville Police with the Honorable Magisterial District Justice Christine Hale of Frackville on Francis Weikel, 49, of Girardville with charges pending for Jeremy Leatherman, 30, also of Girardville.

Weikel was charged with possession with intent to deliver, possession of a controlled substance, and possession of drug paraphernalia.

Weikel was locked up in Schuylkill County Prison unable to post $25,000 straight cash bail.
