Ashland Man Arrested Thursday Morning for Possession of Child Pornography

An Ashland man was taken into custody by State Police on Thursday morning for possession of child pornography.


According to investigators, Bradley Lerch, 50, was arrested at his apartment on North 9th Street, in Ashland on Thursday morning.

Court papers stated on December 19, 2019, around 6:10am, members of the Pennsylvania State Police Computer Crimes Unit conducted a search warrant at 207 North 9th Street, Apartment 4, in Ashland, at the residence of 51 Year Old, Bradley Scott Lerch.

A search of Lerch's electronics found hundreds of images of child pornography and Lerch admitted to investigators that he had looked at child pornography.  Investigators also found  multiple glass smoking pipes and a small clear plastic baggie containing a substance that later tested positive for crystal methamphetamine.

Lerch was arraigned by Magisterial District Judge Christina Hale on 10 counts of  child pornography, criminal use of a communication facility, possession of a controlled substance, and possession of drug paraphernalia.  Hale set bail at $75,000 cash and he was locked up in Schuylkill County Prison.
