Police Arrest Two Suspected of Being Involved in Methamphetamine Trafficking in Minersville

Two from Minersville are facing drug charges after an investigation into drug trafficking in Minersville.


On Friday, January 3rd, 2020 around 9:45pm, Minersville Police along with assistance from St. Clair Police and Schuylkill County Sheriff's office executed a search warrant at 438 New Castle Street, Minersville.

Upon making entry, Darrin Lynch was found seated at a table weighing out and packaging suspected methamphetamine.  In front of Lynch, officers recovered prepackaged methamphetamine ready to sold, empty baggies, a digital scale, $865.00 in U.S. currency, ledger books detailing drug transactions, a calculator, and drug paraphernalia.

Lynch was taken into custody and a further search was conducted at the home.

On the second floor, officers found Cheryl Davie-Lynch.

A search of the second floor recovered an additional $515.00 in U.S. currency along with controlled substances and drug paraphernalia next to Davie-Lynch.

Due to the evidence found, police have reason to believe Lynch and Davie-Lynch are heavily involved in drug trafficking, specifically methamphetamine, in the Minersville area.

Both were taken into custody and charged by Minersville Patrolman Jeffrey Bowers with possession with intent to deliver a controlled substance and conspiracy to commit possession with intent to deliver a controlled substance, conspiracy to commit possession of a controlled substance, possession of a controlled substance, and possession of drug paraphernalia.

Both were arraigned by on-call Magisterial District Judge Christina Hale and locked up in Schuylkill County Prison unable to post $50,000 cash bail.
