Washington Fire Community Ambulance Receives Pennsylvania State EMS Agency of the Year Award

An ambulance association in Ashland has received statewide recognition for their efforts in supporting the communities they service.

The Washington Fire Community Ambulance Association has been awarded by the Department of Health, the Small Agency EMS Agency of the Year Award.

Each year, two awards are presented by the Department of Health to honor a Pennsylvania EMS Agency for their contribution to the development and growth of the quality prehospital care within their community, while complying with the rules and regulations of the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania.

One award is proved to a agency responding to a small volume (less than 1,500 responses) and to a medium volume (more than 1,500 responses).

The plaque and flag in the photo were given by the Pennsylvania Department of Health and the Pennsylvania Emergency Health Services Council.

The Washington Fire Company Community Ambulance serves the Borough of Ashland, Butler Township, Borough of Gordon, and many other communities for mutual aid.
