2nd Annual Pottsville Winterfest Celebrates Winter through Craft, Food, and Fun

The 2nd Annual Pottsville Winterfest celebrated Winter on Saturday.

The event, which was postponed from January due to rain, included fun, food, and music and highlighted the local businesses of the Schuylkill County community.

Pottsville Winterfest is part of the Pottsville Continued Progress Project, a PADCO initiative. PADCO is the city’s economic development agency and works to instill vibrancy to the downtown business community and improve quality of life for its residents.

Winterfest took place on South 2nd Street between West Market Street and Mahantongo Street.

Live music was provided by Toolshed Jack at the Good Intent Fire Company, along with other entertainment from the Crimson Academy and the Spotlight Kidz.

A two hour live ice sculpture demonstration, sponsored by the Schuylkill County Visitors Bureau, was performed by Evan Hughes.

The event also included numerous food and craft vendors and a Yuengling Beer Garden.

Snow was brought in by the Blue Mountain Ski Resort, Palmerton, so Winterfest goers could play in the snow and build a snowman.
