Girardville Firefighters Respond to Electrical Fire

On Monday evening, the Girardville Fire Department responded to an electrical fire in an apartment.


Just before 8:30pm, emergency personnel were dispatched to 32 West Main Street for a possible structure fire.

Members from the Rangers Hose Company and Girard Hose Company responded and found a small electrical fire in the ceiling of an apartment at the address.

Crews had extended lines as a precaution but used a water can to put out the fire.

After using a thermal imaging camera to check for extensions, crews cleared the scene just after 9:00pm and Girardville Fire Chief Zangari cleared the scene just after 9:30pm.

Girardville Ambulance also responded and no injuries were reported.
