Man Facing Animal Cruelty Charges After 5 Beagles Found Malnourished

A Landingville man is facing animal cruelty charges after police say he wasn't taking care of his dogs.

According to the Pennsylvania State Police at Schuylkill Haven, on Sunday, February 2nd, 2020, troopers responded to the 500 block of Main Street in Landingville and found 2 beagles running in the roadway.

Upon further investigation, troopers said, the owner was found to be in possession of 5 beagles and all of them were determined to be malnourished, not living in suitable conditions, and not in good health.

None of the dogs were found not to be licensed and not up to date on shots either.

Brian Morgan, 61, of Landingville relinquished the 5 beagles to Ruth Steinhart Memorial SPCA and troopers filed animal cruelty charges with Magisterial District Judge James Ferrier's office.
