Methamphetamine and Narcotics Investigation Leads to Arrest in Saint Clair Friday Morning

A several months long investigation into the sale of methamphetamine and other narcotics led to an arrest Friday morning.

According to Saint Clair Police Chief William Dempsey, on Friday, February 14th, 2020, a search warrant was served at 314 S, 2nd Street, in Saint Clair following an investigation into the sale of drugs by Cody John Gaumer, 32, of Saint Clair.

Dempsey said the investigation included several controlled purchases of methamphetamine at his residence.

During the execution of the search warrant, Friday, authorities seized methamphetamine and other narcotics along with packaging materials and scales.

Gaumer was taken into custody immediately on an existing felony warrant with additional charges stemming from Friday, coming later.

Gaumer was arraigned before Magisterial District Judge David Plachko and locked up in Schuylkill County Prison unable to $75,000 straight cash bail.

Saint Clair Police were assisted Friday by the Minersville Police Department as well as the Schuylkill County Sheriff's Office.
