Sandra Gerber, 67, of Quakake, PA, passed away Friday, February 21st, at her residence.

Sandra was born in Newark, NJ on September 3, 1952, a daughter of the late Caroline (Waters) and Joseph Mantush.

Graduated from Piscataway High School NJ.

She CNA in the local nursing home industry.

Sandra is survived by her companion Joe Whah Sr.

Sandra is also survived by a daughter, Doris Mitchell, of Columbus MS; three sons Gary Lee Jr., of Shamokin; Richard, of Allentown; Warren, of Dallas PA.; also survived by a sister, Donna Syzmanski, of Las Vegas NV, And by 7 Grandchildren and 7 Great Grandchildren. Nieces and nephews.

She is preceded in death, in addition to her husband Gary in 2012, her sister Karen Pasone.

Religious Service at Louis D. Truskowsky Funeral Home & Crematory Inc., Mahanoy City, PA, at 7:30 PM on Tuesday, February 25th, with Pastor Mark Harris officiating.

Melissa A "Missy" Schwartz, age 54, of Lykens Twp, passed away Saturday, February 22, 2020 at her residence.

She was born on Sunday, December 12, 1965, in Pottsville, a daughter of Jane E Wingert Deibert of Pottsville and the late Nevin Dale Deibert.

She was a 1983 graduate of Tri-Valley High School.

She was a member of Friedens United Church of Christ, Hegins.

Missy enjoyed working on the family farm, doing crafts, camping, and spending time with her family and friends.

She is survived by her husband Robert W Schwartz, Jr., to whom she was married for 36 years.

She is also survived by two daughters, Jessica J Calnon and her husband Eric of Lykens and Alysha C Arnold and her husband Tony of Harrisburg; a son, Travis R Schwartz and his wife Shayla of Lykens; four grandchildren, Emma Calnon, Hunter Calnon, Jase Calnon, and Arianna Schwartz; brother, Paul; sister, Pam; and her father and mother in law, Robert and Judith Schwartz.

Funeral services will be held at the Buffington-Reed Funeral Home, Valley View, on Thursday, February 27, 2020, at 11:00 am, with Rev. Curtis Zemencik officiating.

A viewing will be held from 10:00 am to 11:00 am on Thursday at the funeral home.

Burial will be made in Friedens Cemetery, Hegins.

Myrl E Harring, age 85, of Richland, formerly of Valley View, passed away Thursday, February 20, 2020 at WellSpan Good Samaritan Hospital, Lebanon.

She was born on Sunday, December 23, 1934, in Lavelle, a daughter of the late Charles Tietsworth and the late Kathryn Stine Tietsworth.

She was a graduate of the former Ashland High School.

Myrl was a secretary for the PA Department of Revenue until her retirement.

She was a member of Trinity Lutheran Church, Valley View.

Her husband, Donald G Harring, passed away in 2019. She was also preceded in death by her parents; by a brother, Earl Tiestworth; and two sisters Arlene Leiby and Jeanette Yeager.

She is survived by a son, Keith L Harring and his wife Lynda of Bethel; a daughter, Karen E Gilbert and her husband Robert of Myerstown; seven grandchildren, Drew Gilbert, Karley Seigfried, Justin Gilbert, Kaylyn Harring, Kali Harring, Keith Harring, and Karsen Harring; a sister, Carole Spencer of Newmanstown; and several nieces and nephews.

Private services will be held at the convenience of the family at Indiantown Gap National Cemetery, Annville.

Joseph Michael Kleha, 71, of Harrisburg and formerly of Shenandoah and Allentown, departed his earthly home to spend eternity with the Lord on Monday, February 17 at Hershey Medical Center. He was born on born July 28, 1948 in Shenandoah, Pa to the late Eleanor Hartz (Ardziejewski), and father, Joseph “Jazz” Kleha.

Joseph was a 1966 graduate of Shenandoah Catholic High School in Shenandoah, then went on to earn his BS in Accounting at The Pennsylvania State University. While attending Penn State, Joseph served in the United States Army. After graduation in 1974, Joseph worked at the Public Utilities Commission before joining PPL Electric Utilities as Manager Regulatory Compliance & Rates starting in July 1981, retired March 2013. Post retirement, he was the Principal JMK Lion Consulting LLC specializing in Rates & Regulatory Affairs until the time of his death. Joseph was a lifetime member of The Polish American Fire Company. He enjoyed spending time with his family, attending Penn State football games - holding season tickets for over 40 years, traveling to ballparks to watch the Chicago Cubs, being an avid amateur horticulturist, and supporting dozens of charitable organizations.

Besides his parents, Joseph was preceded in death by his beloved wife, Gale in 2019.

Surviving is his son, Joseph D. Kleha (wife Rebecca), his daughter, Kristin G. Singer (husband Michael), an Aunt, Eva Koch, and 9 cousins.

Joseph was known to those around him simply as Joe, and few things made him happier than spending time with his children and cousins. His face would light up when his house would fill up for the holidays with kids and pets, and he always made time to have a glass of good bourbon or beer and relax with his family.

Full military honors will be conducted at Ft. Indiantown Gap National Cemetery, Annville, Pa on Monday, March 2nd at 11am.

C. Robert Yarnell, 72, of Ashland, PA passed away on Friday, February 21, 2020 at his home.
Born in Shenandoah, PA May 22, 1947 the son of the late Robert S. and Elsie A. (Whitner) Yarnell. He was a graduate of Williamson Trade School in Media, PA in 1968 and Penn State in 1972. He retired from the PA Dept of Corrections as a food service manager. He was a U.S. Army Veteran. 

He is survived by his wife Rita (Reichwein) Yarnell. Two sons and a daughter: Raymond Joseph and his fiance' Miriam Shankweiler , Macungie, PA; Rita Claire Yarnell, Hegins,PA; and Robert husband of Erica Yarnell, New Jersey. Four grandchildren: Jordan and Jacquelyn Motuk; Derek and Randy Yarnell. Four sisters and one brother: Jane and her husband Charles Reaman, Tamaqua; Ron and his wife Linda Yarnell, Ringtown; Jean and her husband Larry Wolfgang, Gordon; Judy Soule, Frederick, MD; Joyce Yarnell and spouse Ellen Berman, Harrington, DE. Nieces and nephews. 

Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Tuesday, February 25, 2020 at 12:00 Noon from St. Charles Borromeo, Ashland,PA. Rev. Brian Miller officiating. Interment in Kimmels Cemetery, Barry Township, PA. Visitation from 10;30 AM to 11:45 Amin St. Charles Borromeo Church, Ashland. Memorial Contributions can be made to St. Charles Borromeo Church, 1117 Walnut St., Ashland,PA 17921.

Barry L. Kintzel, 71, of Pine Hill Rd, Pine Grove, peacefully passed away into the arms of the Lord on Friday, February 21, 2020.
Born on September 12, 1948 in Pottsville, he was a son of the late Nathan J. and Emily M. Daubert Kintzel.
He was a faithful lifetime member of the Schuylkill Church of the Brethren, where he was the treasurer for 43 years. He was a 1966 graduate of Pine Grove High School and received an Associates Degree from Business School.
Barry was a self employed Mason.
He loved spending time with family, shenanigans, hunting and the outdoors.
Surviving are two sons, Travis J.and wife Jaclyn Kintzel of Telford, Benjamin J. Kintzel of Pine Grove; two daughters, Tracy M. and husband Nathan Hostetter of Rockwood, Stacy M. Hewes of Harrisburg; ten grandchildren, Emily, Rachel, Lily, Annalise, Haley, Kolette and husband Jacob, Cole, Gina, Ayden, Peyton; two brothers, Kenneth and wife Kay Kintzel, Wayne Kintzel; a sister, Judy, wife of the late Harold Rhody, all of Pine Grove; three nieces and two nephews.
Funeral Services will be held on Wednesday, February 26, 2020 at 11:30 A.M. at the Schuylkill Church of the Brethren, 347 Sweet Arrow Lake Rd., Pine Grove with Pastor Richard Hoffman officiating. There will be a viewing on Wednesday, February 26, 2020 from 9:30 A.M. until 11:30 A.M. at the Church. Interment will follow in the Schuylkill Church of the Brethren Cemetery, Pine Grove.
