Berks-Schuylkill Oil Heat Association Donates $5,220 to the Salvation Army; Since 2006 Total Contribution of $70,000

The Berks-Schuylkill Oil Heat Association (BSOHA) donated $5,220 to both the Berks and Schuylkill County Salvation Army on Thursday, February 20, 2020 with each Corps receiving half of the total donation. 

Since 2006, the BSOHA annual charitable donation has directly helped the heating needs of local residents to a total contribution of $70,000.

Darren Mudge - Reading Corps and Envoy Gina Harris & Mary Metzger - Pottsville Corps of The Salvation Army were on hand to accept the presentation from BSOHA President Kevin Steele of H.B. Steele & Son, Inc., Orwigsburg and BSOHA Secretary/Treasurer, Chris Crooks of Talley Petroleum, Grantville, PA.

“We are very pleased to make this donation to the Salvation Army. I am amazed every year the generosity our member dealers put forth for this effort. Our membership has always been willing to step up and help those less fortunate. To reach $70,000 in donations is truly remarkable.” stated Kevin Steele President of BSOHA.

Donations for the annual fundraiser were received from the following member companies of BSOHA: R.W. Beckett Corporation, Boston Environmental, Buckeye Energy Services, Delaware Valley Fuel Dealers Assn., Elite Fuel Services LLC, F.M. Brown’s Sons Inc., H.B. Steele & Son Inc., Hafer Petroleum, Jack Rich Inc., Lucknow-Highspire Terminals, LLC, Pennsylvania Petroleum Association, Santilli Oil Co. Inc. and Talley Petroleum Enterprises.
