According to the Pine Grove Police Department, charges have been filed against Justin Donton, 34, of Pine Grove.
The charges stem from an incident that occurred on January 27, 2020.
Officers were notified of an assault that occurred in the 100 block of South Tulpehocken Street.
An investigation into the incident revealed that Donton came to the female victims house and a verbal argument ensued. The argument then turned physical and Donton threw the victim onto the ground and assaulted her. While the female victim was on the ground Donton put her into a choke hold and began to strangle her.
The Pine Grove Police have obtained a felony arrest warrant for Donton on charges of felony strangulation, simply assault and harassment. In addition to the charges filed related to this incident
Donton has an active felony arrest warrant for aggravated assault that stem from a separate incident not related to this department.
