According to Girardville Police, around 5:00pm, officers were dispatched to the area of Line and Main Streets in the borough for shots fired.
Girardville Police along with the assistance of police departments from Ashland, Butler Township, Shenandoah, Mahanoy Township, Frackville, and State Police responded to the area.
After a search of the area, and reviewing surveillance footage, the report was found to be unfounded.
