Hegins Window and Door Facility Notifies Staff of Positive Coronavirus Case; Facility to Remain Open

On Sunday, MI Window and Door notified their Hegins Facility staff that a staff member had tested positive for COVID-19.


According to the letter and press release that was made available on Sunday, the staff member was last at work on Friday, March 13, 2020 and began experiencing symptoms on Sunday, March 15, and did not return to work.  The staff member tested positive for the Coronavirus on March 21st, 2020.

Upon notification of the positive test result on Saturday evening, MI immediately contacted an expert remediation contractor to analyze the situation.

According to a statement from the company, "Based on the time since the team member was last at work along with MI’s cleaning practices and adherence to Center for Disease Control and Prevention guidelines, the remediation contractor considered the work area safe to occupy."

As of Monday, March 23, 2020, the facility remains open.
