Man Arrested for Burglarizing Zion Grove Home

A Weston man was charged with burglarizing a home in Zion Grove earlier this month.


According to the Pennsylvania State Police at Frackville, on March 7th, 2020, around 6:15pm, Troopers from the Frackville and Hazleton barracks responded to a home on Main Street in Zion Grove, North Union Township for a report of an irate male.

An investigation by troopers led to the determination that Ryan Neaus, 32, of Weston broke into the home.

Neaus then attacked the homeowner when he returned home from the grocery store.

Neaus was taken into custody on charges of burglary, criminal trespassing, harassment, criminal mischief, disorderly conduct, and public drunkeness and arraigned by on-call Magisterial District Judge Plachko on the date of the incident.

Neaus was locked up in Schuylkill County Prison on $25,000 cash bail which he posted on March 10th, 2020.

A preliminary hearing is scheduled for April 22nd, 2020.
