Louise A. Jacoby, 73, of Schuylkill Haven, PA, passed away Thursday, February 27th, at her granddaughter's residence in Newark, DE.
Born in Pottsville, PA on September 24, 1946, she was a daughter of the late Henry & Dorothy (Wilhelm) Kershner.
She was the widow of Wilson Moyer.
Louise was a graduate of Pottsville Area High School.
She was a devoted member of St. Paul's United Church of Christ Summer Hill, Auburn, PA, and loved her church family.
Louise enjoyed crafting, working at the election polls, volunteering at the soup kitchen, spending time with family and friends, playing board games, and most of all laughing.
She is survived by a daughter, Janice Ace, Virginia, a son,Donald Jacoby, New Mexico, grandchildren: Patrick Ace, fiance of Susan Owens, & Samantha Ace & her wife, Jeanette Perkins, and five great-grandchildren: Joseph, Emma, Wyatt, Bryce, and Lucas.
A Celebration of Life Funeral Service will be conducted at St. Paul's United Church of Christ, Summer Hill, Auburn, at 10:30 a.m. on Tuesday, March 3rd, with Pastor Kenneth McDowell officiating.
A viewing will be held Tuesday from 9:30 a.m. until the time of service at the church.
Interment will follow the service at Schuylkill Memorial Park, Schuylkill Haven, PA.

At the family's request, donations in Louise's name may be sent to St. Paul's United Church of Christ, 1235 Summer Hill Rd., Auburn, PA 17922.

John Joseph Sherbin, 89, of Lancaster, Pa and formerly of Coaldale, PA, died on Saturday, February 29, 2020 at home. He was the husband of the late Elizabeth (nee Kidda) Sherbin to whom he was married 58 years at the time of her death in 2012. 

Born in Lansford, PA on March 27, 1930, John was a son of the late George and Mary (nee Ochran) Sherbin. 

A 1947 graduate of the former Lansford High School, he served in the U. S. Navy. John was a member of St. Nicholas Orthodox Church, Lansford where he was very involved in church activities. He was appointed to the Coaldale Borough Council to fulfill the unexpired term of a former member. John had been a member of the Knights of Columbus and the Elks. He spent the most time following the activities of family members, especially those of grandchildren. 

John is survived by his children, John Sherbin and his spouse Kathleen of Irvington, NY, Lisa Allen and her spouse Kevin of Lancaster, and David Sherbin and his spouse Susan of Richboro, PA; grandchildren, Laura Ryan and her spouse Keith, Kaitlyn Allen and her spouse Caitlynne, Dustin Sherbin, Natalie Allen and her spouse Thomas Elliott, Alex Sherbin, and Nicholas Allen; great grandchildren, Eleanor, Emily, Jessica, Leigh, and Jack; sister, Eleanor Balliet and her husband Warren of Lansford; and many loved nephews and nieces. 

He was predeceased by a brother, George Walton. 

Funeral services will be held at 11 AM on Saturday, March 7 at the Zizelmann-Gulla Funeral Home, 500 East Broad Street, Tamaqua with The Rev. Robert Teklinski officiating. Interment in St. Nicholas Cemetery, Hometown will follow services. Call 10-11 AM on Saturday at the funeral home.

James B. Haley, of Broomall, PA, formerly of Havertown, PA, passed away on February 26, 2020.

Born in Frackville, PA in 1934, he was the son of the late Peter F. and Marie F. (nee Murphy) Haley. James graduated from Shenandoah High School, Class of 1952, and served honorably in the US Army from 1954-56. He worked at Merion Golf Club until he retired. James was a member of Sacred Heart Catholic Church, Havertown, PA. He enjoyed golf and was a fan of Notre Dame football and basketball.

James was the beloved husband of the late Joan M. (nee Walsh) Haley; loving father of James B. Haley (Barbara) and Daniel E. Haley; predeceased by his siblings Margaret Felsburg, and Edward, Anthony, William, and Robert Haley.

Relatives and friends are invited to his Visitation 5:30-8 PM Wednesday, March 4, 2020 at The Donohue Funeral Home, 3300 West Chester Pike, Newtown Square, PA 19073, and from 10:00-11 AM Thursday at St. Patrick Roman Catholic Church, 319 Mahantongo Street, Pottsville, PA 17901, followed by his Funeral Mass at 11 AM. Interment with military honors will be held in Calvary Cemetery, Pottsville, PA.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105, would be appreciated.

Diane M. (Bevan) Agosti of Lake Hauto, Nesquehoning passed away unexpectedly on Friday, February 28, 2020 at St. Luke’s Hospital in Coaldale, Pennsylvania at the age of 85.

Born in Pottsville,PA March 10, 1934, she was a daughter of the late Russell C. and Hazel (Sheehan) Bevan. She was the wife of the late Ermano Ottavio “Herman” Agosti who passed away in 2018.

She was also preceded in death by her sister Hazel (Bevan) Moran and 6 brothers T. Russell, William, Robert and James, J. Richard and Donald Bevan.

She was a 1951 graduate of Pottsville Area High School, a homemaker, and co-owner of the former Hometown, Mahanoy City and Weatherly I.G.A.’s.

Surviving are ;

Her daughter Patricia Marie Confer wife of Gregory J. “Fred” of Tamaqua;
Sons Joseph E. Agosti and his partner Catherine Melfi of Millsboro, DE.,
James C. Agosti and his wife Tracy of Tamaqua,
Steven M. Agosti and his wife Colleen of Tuscarora,
Robert J. Agosti and his wife Linda of Lake Hauto;
grandchildren; Adam , Olivia, Abbigale, Tavio, Ava,
Steven, David, Anthony, Nico, Gianna, Dante, Gregory, Salina and her husband Tony Stanell, Dominick and wife Mindy and Great Grandaughter Parker , Kassandra her husband Joe Kayes and his son Korbyn;
many nieces and nephews and friends.

A member of St. John XXIII R.C.C. of Tamaqua, Diane was passionately involved in her community from the Beta Sigma Phi Sorority, which she was a member for since 1955, to attending countless sporting events of her own children, her grandchildren, as well as many others who also called her Nana. Diane was the matriarch of her family and mother to all. She will be missed by all.

Friends may call on Wednesday evening March 4, 2020 at the funeral home from 5 - 8 PM. Beta Sigma Phi members are invited to participate in a service at 5:30PM.

No morning calling hours.

Interment will be in Sky-View Memorial Park Tamaqua, Pennsylvania.
