State Police Investigate Thefts and Forgery Through PayPal Accounts

The Pennsylvania State Police at Schuylkill Haven are investigating two separate incidents that involved thefts and forgery through PayPal accounts.


The first incident occurred on March 23rd, 2020 when an unknown person obtain the victim's personal information and opened a PayPal credit account and made unauthorized purchase that included a flying drone worth $3,930.46.

The second incident occurred between March 23rd, 2020 and April 2nd, 2020, when an unknown person gained access to the victim's personal information and created an PayPal account.

The suspect utilized the account spend $1,685.00 in fraudulent credit purchases.

PayPal was unable to provide specifics on the purchases due to the suspect utilizing online stores such as Ebay.
