Shop Employee Caught Stealing and Selling Tires

The Pennsylvania State Police at Frackville have charged a Saint Clair man with stealing tires from his employer and selling them.

According to troopers, the Frackville barracks received a call in relation to theft of tires from CJ Tire Company in Schuylkill Haven.

The shop reported that they had found that tires were missing and suspected they were stolen by an employee.

Through GPS on a company vehicle, the company was able to track the employee as he was making deliveries and found that he stopping at his home in Arnots Addition near Saint Clair.  

The employee, Joseph Darker, 48, was also observed unloading two new tires into his garage at his home.te

An investigation and interview by State Police led to the finding that Darker had stolen 6 new tires to sell for profit valued at $380.98 on May 15th, 2020.

State Police charged Darker for the thefts.
